We began raising Dexter cattle in 2006 after we purchased a small parcel of land. We started to raise some regular size cattle for meat and then ended up looking at the smaller breeds because of the limited amount of space we had. Once we found the Dexter and researched this wonderful breed, we made our decision that this was the ideal cow for our farm. In 2009, when our children were old enough to enter 4-H, we thought showing this gentle and easy going breed was the way to go and wanted everyone to be aware of this special bovine. We raise quality animals that accompany our children to the shows.
